I have a private pool
Chemistry, pumps and filters need attention at least weekly in the growing season.
Pool maintenance · Hua Hin, Cha-Am, Pranburi
A pool is the most expensive thing in the garden to get wrong, and the cheapest to keep right. It needs a schedule, not good intentions.

Who this is for
01
Chemistry, pumps and filters need attention at least weekly in the growing season.
02
Guests judge the pool in the first five minutes, and mention it in reviews either way.
03
An unmaintained pool is expensive to bring back — but straightforward to keep.
04
Someone has to actually test the water, not just look at it.
What's included
You will not need every line every month. But this is what a competent company does — and what we check before recommending one.
Chlorine, pH and balance checked on a schedule, adjusted as needed.
Maintained — critical through the dry months when evaporation is fastest.
Backwashing, cleaning and running the system so nothing seizes.
Skimming, brushing and clearing strainer baskets.
Pumps, valves and fittings inspected for leaks and early failure.
Preventive treatment through the season, and recovery if it starts.
Leaks, mechanical failures and equipment replacement, quoted before the work.
Water balanced and circulated through months when nobody is swimming.
How it is priced
Anyone quoting a flat monthly figure before seeing your property is guessing — and you will find out after you sign which way they guessed.
| Item | How it is usually charged |
|---|---|
| Weekly maintenance | Monthly fee by pool size and visit frequency |
| Chemicals | Included, or itemised at cost — clarify which |
| Equipment repairs | At cost, quoted and approved before the work |
| Recovery after neglect | Priced per pool — significantly more than routine maintenance |
Also worth knowing
Questions owners ask
Weekly at minimum during the growing season, and fortnightly at the very least when balanced properly in the cooler months. A pool left for a month in tropical conditions is a recovery job, not a cleaning job.
It varies by company and it is the single line most worth clarifying. Either answer is fine — an unclear answer is not.
Water chemistry drifts, algae establishes, and pumps that never run can seize. The recovery cost is significantly higher than routine maintenance, and it is entirely avoidable.
Yes — many owners arrange pool and garden separately from caretaking, particularly if they have a trusted arrangement already or want to compare costs directly.
